Founded
LoopIP LLC was founded in April
2000 to create universal search technology
on top of the Open Directory Project. Inspired
to unlock the estimated 500 billion pages
locked in the Invisible Web, an area of
the web only accessible through searchable databases,
we built an engine that imports the entire
Open Directory Project and crawls each page
looking for search engine forms. NRS has been
further developed with federated document
spidering and indexing, wiki import, advertising, and an application
development metaphor featuring news, metasearch,
site search, custom directories, and user personalization.
